Living in Kansas

Thursday, June 15, 2006

Most recently on the 4th of June, my wife and I decided to attend a local minor league baseball game. Most people think that Leavenworth, Kansas, is boring an so forth. It's all what you make of it.

The best part of our decision was the proximity of where we lived and where the ballpark was located. We went to the Kansas City T-bones baseball game in Kansas City, Kansas, and was located nearby the Kansas Speedway where the NASCAR races are held locally.

This ballpark was great. We had excellent tickets behind home plate for only $10 each. Prices for concessions were normal, but a bit below typical ballpark retail prices. Of course, for those who drink alcohol, anyone will pay a decent amount for drinks there. The improvements and size of the ballpark are wonderful. They put a lot of money into this place and it really shows.

For a night of great fun not far from home, this was a great time for both of us that Sunday evening.
